I graduated from Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN. I have worked in the dental field for the past 22 years, starting out with working for Dr. Ed Theis as his Chairside/Front Desk Assistant. For the past four years I have worked as part of the front office team with Point Family Dentistry.
As part of the front desk team, I enjoy meeting and getting to know all of our patients. It is a pleasure to assist them with any help needed to provide them with quality care during their visit to our office.
I work along with Dr. Dana Isaacson. I graduated with a Diploma as a Licensed Dental Assistant in 2003. I received my training at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park, MN. I have been dental assisting for over eight years.
Since graduating, I've had the opportunity to work outside of General Dentistry and expand my functions as an Assistant working in specialty areas such as Endodontics.
I am a Certified Licensed Dental Assistant (CLDA). I attended Normandale Commnity College in Bloomington, MN and graduated in 1985 with Honors. I have been a Dental Assistant for more than 26 years. All of which have been with the doctors of Point Family Dentistry. It is an honor to work with the doctors and other team members.
For the first 18 years as a CLDA, my focus was on General Dentistry for all ages. I have since expanded my assisting duties to working with oral surgery, implants, and conscious sedation. I am certified in Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS). I have attended the annual Star of the North Meetings for 26 years taking hours of continuing education and enjoy home study courses. Although I enjoy all areas of dentistry, my favorite is working with patients who have extreme anxiety. Making them smile on the inside as well as the outside!
My dental journey began at the University of Minnesota with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1979. I went on to complete my Bachelor of Science Degree a year later. I have been involved in dentistry for over 32 years. I have been fortunate to have spent over four years working with our dentists in Bloomington MN.
Keeping up with changes in dentistry has been challenging and kept me focused on meeting the current requirements for exceptional patient care. Computers have made charting and record keeping superior to anything used in the past. Expanded functions have been added to the duties of a Dental Hygienist and I've attended seminars to become licensed to administer local anesthesia, use nitrous oxide sedation, and Laser Therapy. I have found these treatments useful in creating a comfortable environment for my patients.
I graduated from Argosy University in 2008 with an Associate’s Degree in dental hygiene and I have been with Point Family Dentistry since the fall of 2008.
Prior to dental hygiene, I worked as a licensed practical nurse for four years in an orthopedic and neurosurgery unit. While attending dental hygiene school, I practiced home-care nursing.
I am trained in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation, and laser therapy.
I have been a Licensed Dental Hygienist (RDH) for more than 32 years. I graduated from the University of Minnesota through the School of Dentistry. I have worked for Point Family Dentistry since 1989. I have advanced training in CPR and laser therapy.
I give each patient the expert care and attention they deserve, so they feel comfortable and relaxed.
I graduated from Normandale Community College in 2008. I love being a hygienist. I feel my job is to make people happier, healthier, and better looking. I have certifications in Nitrous Oxide and local anesthitic delivery and can make any patient feel comfortable during their professional dental cleaning.
My goal is to make you feel good about your smile and to always show it.
‘‘The team always ensures I'm comfortable from the time I sit down to the time I leave the office. Thanks so much!.
